We booked our room on a rod run weekend. When we booked, they said nothing about parking, BUT they had no parking at the hotel EXCEPT for VIP, which cost an additional $200 just to park at the hotel, otherwise they had additional "1/4 mile" away, actually, 1.3 miles to be exact. They only had ONE van to shuttle the entire hotel back and forth to their cars, and after several of these shuttle trips, (20-30 people trying to get into a 12-15 passenger van, almost fights every time, waiting 2 or 3 shuttle runs just to get our car or back to the hotel. Rediculous, and when we complained about, we were kicked out. Absolutely, the worst display of professionalism by a hotel staff I have ever seen and, a blonde headed lady(maybe manger) yelling at us because she had put her HEART AND SOUL into that weekend, and if we didn't like, to never come back. I didn't let it ruin my weekend, but if this saves one person from spending their hard earned money, then it was worth it. The rooms are very 80's decor, not up to standard at all. This is the honest truth and PLEASE, do not give your money to this hotel.
Looks nice on the outside--- and that is where it stops…. The room was not clean... carpet dirty... air not working … we ask if they had a inside pool and or course they said yeah… and went we got ready to use the pool then we where told it was not

Okay
The room wasn't the cleanest I have ever seen (afraid to walk barefooted) and certain parts of the room seemed really outdated (bathroom in particular). The room didn't even have an alarm clock. The shower was pretty bad and the water temperature ...

STAY AWAY - STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!! Hotel not clean or kept up. Tiles missing from very many balconys to the point it looked dangerous. Our bathroom not cleaned our entire stay. Musty smell overcome by too much deodorizer spray. Beds so hard we had to purchase inflatable swim rafts to put on bed. Bathtub so small we hit our elbows. Both came away with a mysterious rash that continues to spread - doc not sure what it is. Indoor jacuzzi pool located adjacent to lobby and indoor cafe - with no privacy whatsoever between lobby or cafe. Enjoy the jacuzzi while diners watch you - yeah! NO movie channels, not even HBO or even the ability to view a video. Most of the plugs didn't work, so had trouble with my oxygen machine. To top it all off, we were double charged causing overlimit fees on credit card and they refuse to refund overlimit fees. Offered a free nights stay - as if we'd ever stay again?

What a horrible place to stay. When we arrived we immediately were met by two desk clerks who didn't speak very good english (one was from Ukraine, the other from Russia). I immediately noticed the "smell" (stale cigarettes and old, dirty carpeting). After we checked in we went to our room and the air wasn't on (it was over 90 degrees)! My husband walked around the bed and stepped in a soaking wet carpet from where the air must have been leaking for some time (hmmm, probably why they didn't have it turned on). We went to the front desk and complained. We were "upgraded" to the 3rd floor facing the river. Well, needless to say the entire hotel was terribly dirty, extremely outdated, and the staff was just terrible. The elevators didn't have air conditioning, the carpet was filty, the doors to the emergency phones were hanging by one screw, graffiti was written on the doors, and actually I felt unsafe riding in them. I had the pleasure of walking by the wash/linen room when they had left the door open and noticed that it was concrete, mildewed walls and all the towels, sheets, blankets, etc., that we were sleeping in were touching the walls. We stayed two days and left. I would NOT recommend this hotel to ANYONE! Oh and the shower leaked, water was all over the entire bathroom floor (good thing I didn't take my shoes off; couldn't walk on that carpeting in bare feet). The "80 channels of TV is NOT true; they even advertise free HBO which wasn't available. Oh and get this, they give you a "free" breakfast coupon. We get up in the morning to get our "free" breakfast and guess what? You have to purchase a drink in order to get your "free" breakfast which they don't say is either 2 pancakes OR a biscuit and a ladle of gravy. IF you want the buffet you have to buy a drink AND pay $5.95. It was truly the worst false advertisement I've seen in years. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg sure isn't what it use to be. On our way out of town I asked a local waitress why all the foreign workers and she informed us that last year over 3,000 foreigners were brought to the area to find jobs...good luck getting the southern hospitality you may have grown accustom to in this area; it's a shame, it will be my last trip to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. I believe anyone who gives this hotel a good review has GOT to be an employee hyping their rating!
