Nice patio, horrible food, bad wait staff. I cannot believe a hotel this nice has such bad food and such an inexperienced wait staff. Our salads came after our entrees. One meal was never served, they were out of that food and nobody told us.

Recommended by a friend who travels to the area on business, we spent a weekend at this property and found it to be the best hotel experience we have ever had. This is truly a resort at a hotel price. As we entered the lobby, the breathtaking decor and the incredibly friendly staff indicated that this property was something special. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The bathrobes, bottled water, selection of coffee blends and CD player were first rate surprises in this price range. The high speed internet was free and truly high speed. I would be remiss if I did not mention the outstanding food and service at the Bridgewater Grill (the hotel restaurant) which we experienced the two times we ate there. These people truly know the meaning of the word "hospitality". We will return, hopefully again and again.

I had to go to Golden on business and made a great choice to stay at the Golden Hotel. The wireless internet was very helpful and gave me the option of sitting by the fire while I did my work. I also really enjoyed the happy hour at the Bridgewater Grill. I expected your usual fried cheese and wings but I got BBQ sliders and pesto cream pasta. Between the food and the flat screen TV's I had a few really nice evenings sitting at the bar. I hope to be sent back to Golden for business again so that I can stay at the Golden Hotel.

It was very difficult to find a place that had the amenities that we were looking for that would also allow our dog to join us. We found just what we were looking for at The Golden Hotel. When we first arrived are dog was greeted with his name on the welcome board at the front desk. We thought that might have been the cutest thing we had ever seen until they gave him a gift of bones and a great bandana for his western adventure. If they treated my dog this well you can just imagine how well we were treated! We decided to leave the dog behind for a short while and try the hotel restaurant, Bridgewater Grill. The food was wonderful! I wish we lived closer because we would be eating there all the time. Overall I would tell anyone who is going to be in the area to stay at the Golden Hotel.

I have stayed in many Clarion Hotels but I have never seen anything like this. As soon as we arrived we knew it was going to be a different kind of hotel. From the Wonderful desk staff to the beautiful decor our first impression was that someone must really care about this place and their guests. The room had everything we needed. I have to say that its not often you find a hotel bed that you would take over the bed you have at home! We were tired when we arrived so we decided to get a bite at the hotel restaurant, The Bridgewater Grill. We were impressed by the how nice the people were and how clean the restaurant was...And wow, what a meal! From the homemade breads to the wonderful steaks to the "to die for" desserts... I would do that again in a heartbeat!! I plan to make this the first of many visits.
