This has to be one of the more disappointing stays we encountered. The room we had was extremely small even though we specifically booked a larger suite. They were unable to give us the room we booked and our son ended up sleeping between two chairs.
The other disappointment was the spa. Im happy to pay top dollar, but not only did I get the gender specified for the massage I got someone who had only been in training for six weeks and did not have their massage certificate. It was extremely disappointing having to pay top dollar for a sub-category massage. The spa facilities themselves are amazing. We just had a bad experience.
Aside from these two issues we did have a nice time. I'd be willing to give it another shot but would likely want to stay in one of the newer suites.

It rained the whole time when we were there. The staff was light hearted and constantly apologetic for the weather. February comes with rain every year in California. We still enjoyed our stay.

Excellent
You can stay there (very nice) or just go for a spa treatment (really relaxing) or go there for dinner (5 star quality). Or you can do all three. Whichever way you go, you will not be disappointed. Not cheap but worth it for a special weekend.
