The staff was very accommodating and very friendly. The customer service and satisfaction were number one. They go above and beyond what most other hotels provide.
Anything you wanted to do or needed could be provided.
I am very likely

Romantic and luxurious in wine country. Most romantic hotel I've ever stayed at. Loved the layout of our room with huge four-poster bed, plush sitting area and fireplace and jacuzzi tub in one grand room. The toiletries smell great, I would buy the big bottles of them. The spa is an experience all on its own. Nothing like relaxing even more from a relaxing trip in Sonoma.

The room we were given was right next to a business meeting room. There were parties and events going on all the days we were there and the noise next door was horrible. There was no sleeping for us. The wait staff left dirty dishes, carts, and linens outside our door as they served the people in the meeting room so there was a constant bustle of activity and noise outside our door. Plus we had to trip over all the carts whenever we left our room. The hotel itself was nice, but our experience was very bad considering what we paid for the room. I would not go back to this place.

They were very courteous and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. They have grand, stylish, comfortable, and inviting properties.
They used my name to greet me and then remembered me and my name during my stay.

The rooms are very nice and upscale. The staff is excellent and very responsive to questions and inquiries. I had a problem with my personal property safe in the room and they rectified the problem promptly. I thought the food was too expensive and went over to downtown Sonoma to eat meals. The snacks and drinks in the rooms are too expensive so I never purchase these items. If the hotels charged more reasonable prices for this stuff, they would sell more. For the price of the rooms, the internet service available should be free. Overall, it is a nice place and I would come back.
All of the staff went out of their way to make me feel appreciated and answer questions.

I have stayed at the Sonoma Mission Inn four times and all stays have been fantastic.
Im not sure about the other complaints, except we did have a problem once with the front desk staff. Otherwise, our room has always been impeccable (a Mission Suite). The spa is great, especially the bathing ritual. The gym if much better than most hotel gyms, it is certainly not the Four Seasons gym in San Francisco, but that's not what I expected. Basically, I can get a work out there which is all that's important to me.The restaurant is very nice and deserves the praises it has received.
Cons: Yes, the area the SMI is in is not "upscale" but in a regular residential, country area, it is certainly not as bad as some of the reviews portray; the decor at the SMI is "Mission Style", which seems to turn some people off.
