The hotel was beautiful. I thought the food was below average for a hotel of this caliber, I expected much better. The same for the bar upstairs, it lacked atmosphere and bar knowledge as well as some drinks that were not available. The wine list was especially disappointing. A couple of the concierge's were not very friendly and wanted to push us to their favorite restaurants rather than what we wanted. I wish there was a 24-hour business office and that they had blank DVD's and CD's.

The hotel is in a great location for getting around the city. Its architecture is beautiful as is the inside. The price per night is expensive, but we had a group discount because we were there for a wedding. The rooms are huge and the beds are really comfortable. The large walk-in closet is like an extra room in itself. We kept our 2-year-old there. The staff was very attentive and responded quickly to requests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there immensely.

The San Francisco Fairmont was a joy to visit. The staff was always exceptionally friendly and helpful, the rooms were far larger and more comfortable than rooms at similarly priced W hotels (my former favorite). All around, it was great!

I have always enjoyed this hotel: the location, amenities, services, and food have always been excellent. I also enjoy the St. Francis but when more budget-minded, I stay at the Fairmont (I also love the newer St. Jose Fairmont where I stay for business quite a bit). The employees and customer service are also top-notch.
This hotel made me feel pampered: The staff gave special attention. I never felt that I was anything but the most important guest in the hotel.

I adored my stay at the Fairmount. The comfort, luxury, and view of the room were magnificent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Most meeting rooms had beautiful detail. The food at our meetings was exquisite. The only negative thing was the sticker shock from the price of a single drink ($11) when I had never paid over $5 but was used to less than $3. I did not have a single drink on my trip.

Fairmont SF was beautiful. It's on top of Nob Hill, which looks down over the bay. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and went out of their way to make my stay very special. I recommend it highly!
