Located across the street from the Vancouver Art Gallery, and close to Robson Street and the Pacific Centre shopping area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with high speed internet access and can accomodate up to 4 people. The hotel restaurant, 900 West serves 'Sea and Steakfood' with a twist, whilst Griffins has buffet and a la carte offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I ate here a couple of times and the food was great. The Lounge serves cocktails, has an extensive wine list and local jazz musicians also perform nightly, which is a real treat. The health club, saunas, whirlpool and indoor pool are lovely and there's a relaxing spa too. There is also a business centre. The staff are friendly and polite and will help you with anything you need.

The Hotel is in a fantastic location, the service is great and the price is moderate (on discount sites).
The mattress was old and not up to Marriott or Hyatt standards. The room was filthy. There were water marks on the bathroom floor that made it appear that the floor had not been mopped. The mini bar was covered in dust and there was a lot of dust in between the glass covers on the table and desk.
A bedside table had recently been re-located, leaving a dusty imprint in the carpet.
I paid $220/night compared to the hotel's $389/night.
There are more reasonably priced alternatives in similar locations. We ended up staying one night in the Pinnacle Marriott about 4 blocks away (although the Canadians will tell you it is 3 blocks). The Marriott was a much cleaner experience, although they did not have flat screen TV's.

I stayed here during my first visit to Vancouver. The most memorable thing about my stay were the people in the city. Everyone was very nice especially the people in the hotel. Friendly, fast and courteous staff made this hotel a remarkable place to stay. The room was also fully stocked and the bed was very comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping in places other than my own bed, but I was able to fall asleep no problem at this place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice relaxing place to stay in the city. Thumbs way up!

Driving to Vancouver for a March Break last year, I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver. In one word to describe my stay, is "amazing". The Fairmont is truly a first class luxury hotel. The hotel is very well decorated. My room featured very comfortable and expensive looking furniture and decorations. The staff and room service.of the hotel were very accomodating to my needs. I remember requesting a few extra pillows and towels and they fulfilled my request in five minutes. The view from my window was phenomenal. The location of the hotel is awesome and very convenient. It is located near great eats and attractions. The hotel also had a dog. Very weird but funny at the same time. I asked about the dog and they told me you can even take her out for walks. Very unusual but very neat. Although it is a very expensive hotel, I would splurge out once in a while for special occasions.

The servics was excellent, the interior design was in grand victoria style, with high ceilings, fancy curtains, crystal lighting. It is a perfect place for wedding banquet. However for the room, it is smaller than expected. All are fine wood furniture, so they are huge in size, and takes up the space in the room. They use old style visible heater, beside the window. The window is kind of small, overall the hotel is in romantic dim lighting. If you love classical historic place, this is a place for you. But I personally feel it is too old and I don't like the dim environment.

I have been to the hotel probably the first time and the hotel is pretty clean. I wouldn't say the hotel has a bad service because the staff there helped me a lot and treated me like a great customer. People there are absolutely nice and people were very kind there. What I liked about the service at the hotel was that people there helped me very nice. I got a cheap package at the hotel for just $145/day and I stayed there for more than 5 days and received a free 40% discount. I like this hotel and therefore, I recommend this hotel to anyone! Great hotel must never forget
