I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I was able to find a very reasonable rate for a double room for myself and my dad who were in DC for one night only. The staff made us feel like VIP's and the rooms were quite beautiful. Also, we had a great time in the bar on late Saturday night, as there was a pianist who sang a bunch of great old jazz tunes. It was really a wonderful stay!

The hotel is only two blocks away and within short walking distance of the Metro Station, Dupont Circle, restaurants, and shopping. The staff was courteous and respectful. Our room was clean and maintained well throughout our stay.
The biggest downfall is the price. We were lucky and found a discounted room rate through hotwire.com. All of the amenities that come with your stay are very expensive. Breakfast for two at the hotel's restaurant will cost between 50-60 dollars. Check the price list of the gift basket in your room to make sure it falls within your budget. The coffee pot in your room is not free.
In all, I would stay their again. The area is safe and the walk to the Metro Station is short. The initial cost of the room gets you great guest service. Anything above that--expect to pay up.

Mediocre
We were put in the back with the view of the alley. The signature bed must have been 10 years old as it was lumpy and had low spots from years of use. Internet was an extra $10/day. Room coffee was not restocked each day. Entrance door has large ...

The Westin Embassy row offers an understated elegance and simplicity in design. Located on Embassy row with in walking distance of many of the international embassies, close to Dupont Circle, excellent restaurants and the great shopping in Georgetown. A major perk, complementary breakfast for guest.

Staff was very friendly, polite & helpful & as I said in review, excellent location. Bathroom was not perfectly clean but for a quick trip, it was quite pleasant with OK price. Bad news - I tried to book a repeat trip for 2 weeks later & ...

The old man working at the front desk had a bad attitude. Everything else was ok even when my plastic card did not let me into room, it was replaced so quickly. They offered excellent service.
I was escorted to my room by a guard when my key card needed to be replaced.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the The Fairfax at Embassy Row, Washington, D.C..
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Okay
Upon checking in, the deck clerk, X, was friendly, efficient and welcoming. However, there was no one at the door to open (no automatic door) and no one to help up with our bags from the car. A bellhop did take the bags from the lobby to our room....
