Worst vacation of my life. Vacation from hell!! If you do plan to stay here, ask for a two bedroom or nothing at all or be subject to a bait and switch!! There are two types of one bedroom units..do not ask for the Cottage model. The Kings Creek Plantation desk told us that all one bedroom units are the same..that they all were spacious with lofts. We reserved one. We called the Kings Creek Plantation reservation desk on various occasions and were assured the same. On one occasion we asked if we could bring five people and were told no problem..if needed we could get a cot!.. When we arrived, we were put in this sardine shoe box of a unit called the Cottage (misnomer) and were told they have no cots (the Cottage one bedroom floorplan is not on the website). There is a larger one bedroom unit but informed us that these units advertised on the website were not available. Rather than own up to their deception, they offered that we trade up to a two bedroom for $100/night rather than eat the charge for deceiving us. It was was aweful to be treated this way. We were deceived and burned and they did nothing to make up for their mistreatment. They tried to pass off their decit by blaming it on Interval International -- we spoke to their reservations desk 2 or 3 times after reserving first through Interval. Be careful! These people don't care how they treat you!!!
i stayed at the kings creek plantation for 7 days and 6 nights and those nights were ALL great! my family and i were in the townhomes. when we arrived they gave us our room key right away. we got settled in the townhomes. we had something to do every single day. we would come from the pools when it closed. and we rented horror movies in the night and played many games. they also have a wonderful clubhouse. we went to virginia beach, busch gardens, and water country usa. we also went to an outlet mall. honestly i didnt want to leave. i loved playing tennis and volleyball there. its fun for the ENTIRE family. there are activities for the whole family. and you wont be bored! and everyone can just relax and have fun. hope you enjoy it as muh as i did!

What did I love?
Being located right next to Water Country USA.
What did I hate?
The pressure during the timeshare meeting. The 90 minute meeting turned into 3.5 hours. It was horrible. And should you decide to buy a timeshare with them, do a little research first. They are going quote you a price but you will find people selling their timeshares online for 1/4 of the costs.
Don't plan on doing anything online from your room. They only have wifi available at the clubhouse between the hours of 8-4. What a joke!!! I was out all day with my family and wanted to do school work during the evening, but that was not going to happen.
The cottage we stayed in and our next door neighbor's smoke alarm went off 2-3 times a night 4 out of the 5 nights we were there. The final night we were there it went off 5 times. By the third time, I grabbed my pillow and moved out to my truck. We called the maintenance guys and they did come out each time, but never fixed it. I feel so sorry for the next family that goes in there.
Please save yourself the frustration and look for a better place. This is not what you want if you plan on sleeping at all!!!

There was nothing really to hate about King's Creek. We were going to be arriving after the desk was closing, we called while we were on the road ,and were told that the security guard would have everything we needed. When we arrived after having been on the road for 12.5 hrs, the security guard greeted us, gives us our keys, with directions to the townhouse, our welcome package and we were off to a wonderful week. The place was quite, beautiful, and very well maintained. Included in our welcome package were directions to all the tours spots/historic sites, grocery store and even WalMart.
The only thing that I found really odd was the decorators taste in wall paper and furniture patterns, bad, bad, bad is all I can say. Oh yeah if you don't like really firm beds I would suggest you bring an egg crate mattress with you.
