We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. The room was large and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood quiet. The wine and cheese and evening desserts were a nice plus and a nice way to talk with other guests.

Good
This is really more of a botique hotel with a small friendly staff ready to help you. They serve a really good breakfast in the garden and wine during the cocktail hour and desert when you return from dinner in the formal parlor. The location is...

Excellent
As soon as we pulled up to the hotel, the innkeeper knew exactly who we were. The concierge then took us and our bags to our room, right off the delightful courtyard with fountain and dripping with spanish moss. He then ushered us to the wine...

Good
Our vacation in Savannah was wonderful. The Eliza Thompson House is a beautiful bed and breakfast. The food is wonderful, but our room was very dusty. The bathrooms are small and depending on the floor that you are on there are many stairs to climb.
37 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We were hotel people before staying at the Eliza, forever converted by this Inn's hospitality.
The staff is friendly and professional, yet still make you feel like family. It is located on Jones street (one of the most photographed streets in America) which set you right in the center of the historic district. The Mercer house is on the next street over.
The beds are so comfortable you might just want to sleep you day away if not for the amazing breakfast buffet, its definitely not continental. The food and atmosphere are warm and comfortable. I stayed with my two teenage children and we had such a good time we extended our stay.
Unfortunately our room was already booked to another traveler, but the staff was kind enough to find us another room that was equally special and afforded us the opportunity to stay in the main house and in the courtyard. Both are highly recommended.
Not if, but when, we return to Savannah we will stay at the Eliza Thompson House again.
