The Economy Inn of Hermiston Motel - Page 1

First off we were not given the room that was specifically reserved, with deposit, ahead of time and ended up having to rent two rooms at additional expense - although we were told the second room was discounted. Whoop-de-doo.

In one of the rooms, the smoke detector is missing - only bare wires hanging from the ceiling. We called this immediately to the attention of the clerk on duty and were told he would have someone come take care of it "if we wanted". We assured him we did. 6 hours later we're still waiting. Both comforters in this room have extensive, large and visible, burn holes. We're thinking they got tired of having the fire department come so they took out the smoke detector???? LOL. If the bed were any closer to the air conditioning unit I'd be sleeping on top of it. But hey, the night is young.

The second room has a coffee pot with no carafe and the bedside lights are inoperable.

The best thing I can say about the place is that it does allow pets, which is the only reason we chose to stay here in the first place. And it's not cheap.

I wanted to post this in the event there's a fire during the night and I don't get a chance to at later date. Pray for us.

The management said they would refund my 56 dollars and did not, left my bank account over drawn and refused to correct the situation.

I stayed at the Economy Inn of Hermiston and enjoyed my stay. The room was not only clean but the people friendly.

My father had a recent stay at this hotel and had his camera (nice digital) stolen-it was hidden in his luggage. The hotel took no ownership for this loss both personal and property. Only two maids service the hotel, so it would be easy to figure it out!

They have freshly painted the hotel since my last stay; the carpets and bathroom were very clean. My room had a coffee maker, fridge and a microwave, which works great for me since I'm on the road several nights a month and regularly put those items to use. It’s within blocks are banks, groceries, espresso, and food from fast to fine.
