The hotel's reputation is as one of the world's greatest hotels. The mere fact that there are three members of staff per guest, gives some idea of the level of service offered by this property. (1104RP) The hotel is a large traditional building with a very impressive white facade in superb condition. The hotel is ideally located on Park Lane overlooking Hyde Park. Five minutes walk from Hyde Park Corner underground station, with Bond Street, Piccadilly and Oxford Street on the doorstep.

39 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I was recently on vacation in London with my two boys, ages 6 and 3. I wanted a hotel near Hyde Park so they could run around. The Dorchester has a great location. The staff was polite despite the noise and mess caused by my little guys. The rooms were roomy and comfortable and withstood a reasonable beating from the endless pillow fights and jumping on the bed sessions. Unfortunately, you must pay for this convenience and service. I could have done without the $80/person High Tea and the $25 room service burgers.
