Official Hotel Information
Modern Day Cincinnatian - Traditional in atmosphere and service, The Cincinnatian Hotel captures the warmth and gracious artistry of the turn of the century. Modern amenities and conveniences ensure an additional element of comfort and style. The Cincinnatian Hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and remains the only small luxury hotel in the city. Keeping With The Tradition - Our fine dining room, The Palace Restaurant, took the original name of the hotel. The Cricket Lounge kept the name of the original restaurant in The Palace Hotel, while the four meeting rooms on the second floor (Filson, Denman, Ludlow and Symmes) reflect the names of the founding fathers of Cincinnati. The St. Clair room was named after the individual who, as governor of the Northwest Territory, renamed the city of Losantisville to the city of Cincinnati. The three major suites of the hotel also have a historic reference: The Emery-Presidential Suite was named after the original owners of the hotel (Thomas and Joseph Emery), The Hannaford Suite was named after its architect (Samuel Hannaford), and The Briggs Suite was named after the first general manager of the hotel(Joseph Briggs). The Maria Nichols room (229) was named after the woman who founded Rookwood Pottery in 1880.

Good
The Cincinnatian is one of the nicest hotels in Cincinnati. It is great for a romantic weekend. Located in downtown Cincinnati you can walk to great restaurants or catch a game at Paul Brown.

The hotel had a good location, close to shopping and events. The room had comfortable beds and a large garden tub. The room was smaller than I expected but the bath and dressing area was larger than I expected. The furniture and the carpet needed to be re
The valet staff was on the ball. I liked the helpful bellhop and the friendly check in and concierge.
I am not likely
to return to the The Cincinnatian Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.

We had a very noisey air conditioning unit,we asked to change rooms. We were shown two rooms and decided to upgrade. The front desk did not put the change in and we had no housekeeping for two nights. The bellman mentioned they have had some troubles with the noise in these new A/C units. After a long discussion with the manager they dropped the upgrade charge and gave us a $25 coupon for room service which only pays for one breakfast. The hotel is very well located to all Downtown attractions.Frontline staff very helpful and pleasant, but for the money the value was not there

Okay
I've read lots of reviews about this hotel, and they all give it 5 stars. I can only think that others are used to lower standards or I was extremely unlucky.

It was a very nice hotel and the room service was wonderful. I liked the nice big tub and the nice room. I stayed eight days. The restaurant was very expensive, but other restaurants were within walking distance. In a place with a very expensive restaurant, the bar needs to also serve some other functions and the room service must take up some slack that would be usually taken up by a coffee shop. I developed a nasty cold and I wanted some tea and I needed some medications. This was hard to get. The room maid ended up being most helpful, bringing me cold medications, hot tea and a paperback novel, as I was too sick to go out to the drugstore and it was cold, icy and sleeting out. They were exceptional. I initially asked the front desk and the bell men if they could acquire things like these, they thought it was a very odd question and they said it was not their job. It certainly was not the job of the room maid either, but she had some sympathy for my position.
