The Chateau Bloomington Hotel

Place was a mess. Stayed there 2/15/08. Thought it would be romantic... nope! Staff was unfriendly and acted as if we were putting them out by asking for a phone book, which was not in our room. Guess what else wasn't in our room? Our alarm clock! Had to ask for that and the "sweet little girl" at the desk had my husband come down to get another one?!?!?! We had a drink in their bar before dinner and that was the only enjoyable experience. Great bartender. Our meal may have been dropped on the floor and put back on the plate (that is what it looked like). Although we did not swim we went down to the pool and found cigarette butts and trash everywhere. Best $119.00 ever spent! Hope this place gets a complete renovation starting with the manager (he was a treat)!

A quiet and comfortable room. Thoughtful room amenities, good bed linens, prompt room service with hot, fresh food that was well prepared. A good experience overall.
