Recently completed is the construction of a new building adjacent to the 1907 Beaux Arts Building that houses the spectacular two story atrium lobby with grand waterfalls. Echoing the traditional grandeur of New York City, our building, our guest-rooms and our new lobby reflect the care and attention to detail found in the original architecture of the hotel when opened during the early 20th century. The hotel is well equipped for the business traveler, offering a business center and complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the guest rooms and all public spaces. My daughter and I stayed here in August 2009. I loved the linens, the bathroom with the seperate shower and tub, the Molten Brown shampoo and tolietries and the service. I wanted an in room coffee maker and refridgerator and they were qucikly brought to me. The walk to Times Square was nice and the local area was okay. It really was close to everything and yet not right in the middle of the traffic although there were the beeping horns occasionally. Our air conditioner would not go below 70 degrees even though set to 65 but that was not too bad. I did not like the fact that they don't have ice machines and you have to call to have ice delivered. The beds, my goodness, they are so comfortable that I am trying to find out the type to purchase one for my house. Not crazy about the pillows though. The room was large enough with a table and two comfortable chairs as well as 2 side tables and a IPod clock radio. TV was fine. Over all would recommend in a heartbeat. I got the room for under $190. per night so am well pleased with that.
