51 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Advertised as an "Inn" with gourmet cooking but is just an expensive B&B. We were looking forward to a relaxed weekend making use of their lounges and balcony, but we were all kicked out after breakfast because there was a wedding being held there during the day. There is no evening meal: you are sent to a restaurant a few miles away where -- surprise -- the advertised award-winning gourmet chef now works. Breakfast was poor -- we ate elsewhere. The room was poky and the whole place smelt of what was either leaking gas or a bad damp problem. Not a good deal at $150 a night. Next time we'll stay in a $50 motel and spend the other $100 in a decent restaurant.
