Home of the Golden Globe Awards, the Beverly Hilton finished a much-needed makeover in 2005 to keep up with its glitzy address. Room bathrooms, though compact, feel expansive with glass walled showers, an opaque glass wall, and pocket door. Walls are creamy white; new furnishings include versatile, leather-top, oval-shape work desks that swivel to the side. Flat-screen TVs and CD players are standard in every room. You can find action without ever leaving the grounds: Trader Vic's restaurant-bar is a kitschy classic that's popular at happy hour. The pool is almost Olympic-size. A complimentary town car can ferry you within a 3-mi radius.

I recently booked to stay at this hotel for the first time for my business trip during the AFM (which takes place in Santa Monica). I always stay in Beverly HIlls as most of my business meetings and dinners are there.

HORRIBLE! I can't say enough bad things about the Beverly Hills Hilton.
Conference in May 2008 - some of our attendees left the hotel & conference early! Their rooms were never cleaned, any requests for towels, pillows, or even rags to clean were met with disdain & requests for payment for extras! How embarrassing to us!!
Conference rooms were disorganized, A/V equipment did not work and we were STILL charged full price for each piece for each day. $6 per can for WARM sodas, $40 per plate for buffet of cold food, cold eggs, cold sausages, undercooked raw bacon, no juice or milk, only coffee - which was $50 a gallon and Horrible! We made do without mikes one day & still had to pay $400 for each day for "microphone system". No amount of arguing with the "managers" explaining difficulties during problems & afterward, nothing convinced them that they were at fault in any way.
I tried to get a final bill the day after the conference & they said they'd mail it. I called the next week, nothing, "Oh, we'll have that soon!". The week after that, my card was blindly charged & when I saw the $30K charge, I called for the bill. "Oh, we're still working on that." "Really? then how'd you charge my card already?" "We didn't."
I complained to AMEX, who said they'd get the bill. Several days later, the complete bill arrived, which doesn't add up at all, no credits for all the problems, and I was to have a comp'd room as organizer, but, no, they charged me for each night, saying people checked out early - even though those people paid in advance - and that negated their free room (1).
After all that money spent, I just wonder how many customers I've lost due to the Beverly Hills Hilton.

Our visit to the Beverly Hilton was suppose to be a 2 day adventure in a class Hotel. Sorry to say it was disappointing. For the price ($290 a night) our room was small for 4 people. The air conditioning was horrible. We were there in August during a very hot week and our room was unbearable. We turned down the AC to 45 degrees and it was still hot! The rug in our room was stained and the bathroon sink was plugged. The huge flat screen TV had only minimal stations. (The kids were disppointed) and the desk chair for using our computer was faux leather and metal with wear spots. (tacky). The shower head had a light drizzle. It took forever to get the shampoo out of my hair. The overall look of the Hotel which is newly renovated was lovely. It had the old 1950's look. There were beautiful orchards everywhere. The Olympic size pool was fabulous. Trader Vic's was fun. Most of the staff were very graceous. The desk clerks could have been nicer. Only one young lady at the desk went the distance when we checked out. The internet cost $10 a day and parking was $25.00. I must admit it was cool being apart of a big classy hotel though only for 2 days. This place has a lot of history. I could feel the stars of the past walk by in spirit. Overall if you want to stay at this hotel bring your wallet. It's expensive.
I am not likely
to return to the The Beverly Hilton.
I might recommend it to friends.
