Belle Grae and Restaurant is the centerpiece of a neighborhood of restored victorian houses offering guests a choice of tastefully appointed rooms, suites, flats and cottages. The old Inn built circa 1872 was historically restored in 1982 and that year awarded Staunton's Historic Restoration Award. Surrounding houses date circa 1890's - 1910 and are appropriately furnished to the period yet offer amenities of the day. The restaurant and bistro bar offer guests and friends dining opportunities in the courtyard, on the verandah, in the air conditioned Garden Room or Fireside in the Old Inn. After dinner, Trolley to Gypsy Hill Park for a concert of Band, Gospel or Jazz or continue to the Old Town Center for an evening of theater at the only reproduction IN THE WORLD of Shakespeare's Blackfriars Playhouse. Follow the trail of the "Pub Crawl" and end up on Belle Grae's Verandah or by the fire for a Courvosier, Grand Marnier or the Inn's signature dessert, Smudge Pie and Irish Coffee. The Inn is surounded by Gardens, Mountains, Victorian Architecture and Theater galore. Come and enjoy!
