Beautiful inn that is just the perfect size. Not too large and just big enough to socialize with other patrons. The rooms are really well decorated with a nice mix of wicker rattan and gorgeous water prints. We had a room with a deck overlooking the ...

We stayed four nights in June 2007. Room was clean and spacious, sitting area with charming "Nantucket" decor, balcony , location perfect. Quiet and peaceful-birds singing outside our french doors in AM. Also included was a quality continental breakfast that worked perfectly before we set out.Coffee, juices, fruit, yogurt, croissants, muffins, cereal etc. Walk to Main Street, beaches and all fine restaurants. We rented a jeep to tour the rest of the island.

I completely agree with the previous post. My experience was similar. This motel, and I say motel, because it definitely is not a resort, is very run down.
The wicker chairs are unraveling, the rooms are very dark and most of all, the staff is non-attentive. They also seem to have local people in the pool, which is crowded enough with guests. I would never stay there again.

Although The Beachside at Nantucket hotel was seemingly rated, the room was filthy. Mold on the doors, mold in the shower, someone else's toothpaste smeared on the bathroom sink. We could not stand to stay there and had to move.
