The Autoport Motel and Restaurant

They used to have great meals and delicious desserts. Not anymore. I visited there for the first time after the place was sold and it was dreadful! I ordered a hot sandwich that was COLD by the time the waitress brought it to the table. A drink that I used to pay $4.00 is now $7.00 and a lot less drink.

The renovations are ok but they could have saved their money. Zebra print chairs and an oriental rug? Very tacky. Wonder what they have in mind for the motel renovations? Perhaps a safari motif so we can swing from the chandelier?

We were waiting for our friends in the lobby and one of the owners walked passed us and I heard her cussing like a sailor. Not very professional in my opinion. We won't be going back.

Stayed at The Autoport recently. They are under new ownership since November 2007. The dining room has been renovated and they have a new menu for the dining room.

They say that they are going to be renovating the main building first and will then start on the motel rooms to bring them more current.

I often stay at this facility while visiting my son. It is a good value with a nice bar, good food and a family friendly atmosphere.
