Excellent
My husband I both enjoyed our stay at the Allerton. He was surprised that our room was so small, but I had booked a double bed so we could afford the place! It was cozy but very elegantly appointed. Some guests seemed annoyed by the split elevator...

The bed was so comfortable, spray your pillow at night, turn on the CD, put our sleep mask on, and snooze. Oh, it's morning!
The history of the hotel is very fascinating, make sure you learn about the reason of the multiple elevators. The staff is fantastic. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes because Chicago is great for walking. The hotel is superb for shopping. You can see the best stores from your room! Okay, we had a great view of the best stores north.
I would stay there again and again and again. There is so much to do. If you are a government employee, you can get a great discount there.

I like the comfort of the room and the bed, and the nice amenities. I liked the sleep CD with relaxing music. The spa quality soap was a nice break from cheap hotel soap. The hotel was however slightly hard to get around, with two separate elevator systems.
The staff showed appreciation for me as a customer.
I am very likely
to return to the The Allerton Hotel Chicago, Magnificent Mile.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Visiting Chicago in the winter can be a challenging, but staying at the Allerton was so welcome, that I felt like home.
The staff was outstanding, the location was close to all shops and businesses, but the history of the hotel can not be matched. I stayed in a junior suite and I felt that I was part of a Frank Sinatra song.
Chicago is now my kind of town. I can't wait to go back.

Mediocre
I prefer to stay at historic properties when possible and decided to give the Allerton a try due to it's great location on Michigan Ave. When we arrived they were very busy, we had to leave our car double parked in the street (at the valet's...
