Haunting and yet so personal – Posted Apr 13, 2008

Excellent
63 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I give this hotel a 9 because it just blew me over. The 5 level hotel is old and sprawling. When I checked in I saw a few people in the spacious lobby but felt like I was the only one staying. There were marbled hallways with tall ceiling everywhere. Walking through them was like a puzzle and they led to different end points, each another quiet lonely corner. The room was clean and comfortable with the usual amenities, not fanciful but romantic. The roof top was a huge restaurant with variety of food. The 4-star hotel was gutted by fire and rebuilt in its original mood settings.

Okay

I like the liquid bar. I like the garden. But the elevator is far. I dont like to walk far enough just to get a lift. But boutiques can be seen along the way.
