This hotel was not a nice hotel. They told us that the maids didn't do their work for the day so we were forced to stay in a different room after we had reserved a suite. We had 6 women who were expecting a suite for a bachelorette party and were told we could have one king and a fold out couch... I don't why I trusted their hotel, partially because the website looked so nice. We waited 20 minutes to even see a valet person. They downgraded us to a king suite and gave us a rollaway which was standing on the other side of the door when we got to the room. The bed was really heavy and so at 2am when we returned to the room we had to go downstairs and talk to the front desk person because the bed was too heavy to let down. Also, they had to have security come upstairs to fix the bed, like it's his job to arrange for the hotels shortcomings.
I would not stay here. In speaking to other guests while we were there we heard even worse stories. Now I see that my card is charged twice my room rate. I have called 4 times to talk to people about my charge. Now they are making me leave a voicemail for accounting ..because they don't answer their line. I am not a happy camper...

Horrible
Sheets are old - rat bites in sheets; carpet needs to be replaced throughout entire building; old ceilings; funny smell; rusted bathtubs; Please beware...
Let me start off, by saying that the staff at the terrace are very nice and helpful for the most part.
However, this hotel is in deep need of repairs and is severely outdated and unsafe!!! My husband was in the bathroom brushing his teeth when the sink gave way and instead of landing on his feet, he caught it and it crushed both of his hands!! He was hurt severely!!! They merely gave us a small upgrade in rooms (the upgrade was just as bad in repair. The offered no refund on our stay or anything. Since returning home I have tried to make contact with the hotel and send them the medical reports on the fractures he received and the do not care!!
The scariest part is that my two small children were brushing their teeth mere minutes before this happened to my husband!! They would of really been hurt worse than he was!!!
We are returning to Cincinnati in 3 days and would never stay there again nor do we recommend that you or your family stay there. Please take this warning seriously and do not book at the Terrace Hotel!!

Mediocre
We booked this hotel for an overnight stay to visit our son. It seemed reasonable and was fairly close to the University. The hotel was clean and a bit run down, but I've stayed in major chain that were in worse shape. The staff was friendly and...

Okay
Have stayed at this hotel twice and it is very central and although basic, very clean. Excellent value for money. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It can attract a noisy young crowd. I will stay there again.

Absolutely DON'T STAY THERE--under any circumstances!!! I actually felt as though my son and I were in physical danger. After hotel staff finally called police to quiet racket (at around 2:00 a.m.), unruly patrons occupying several rooms/suites (and constantly moving from one to another, slamming doors) were allowed to continue unlawful behaviors on premises. The hotel staff took no action to remove these undesirables, and made no effort to compensate us for the imposition. (It was actually only reasonably quiet from around 2:30-4:30 a.m., after the police left.) It was actually quite scary to have the people from the suite next door banging on our room door and yelling obscenities, only to call the hotel staff at the desk and be told "There is nothing else we can do." I repeat: DON'T STAY THERE!!!
