female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I can't imagine the Tahiti getting a bad review. We have been staying there for about 12 years now. We go down in a group and rent a block of rooms. It's clean, resonable, and the owners are friendly. You don't have to worry about any trouble, because the hotel is well patrolled. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Ocean City. Kudos to the Tahiti Inn!!!!

My family has been staying at The Tahiti Inn for years. We always rent two of the large apartments. The place is old and needs an update but the location is great and the hosts are wonderful. Will continue to go for I hope many years.

My family has been going to this hotel for years -ever since I can remember. The family typically rents out 95% of the apartments off season and we use the courtyard as a communal place for food and fun. The staff is always pleasant and we've never had any problems. The hotel is old and has not been updated in years, but the convenience of the courtyard and proximity to the beach out-weighs everything else. **Word of advice** bring your own towels! Theirs are like sand paper!

The staff was wonderful. I felt like I was staying with family instead of a hotel. It is convenient to everything. It is inexpensive, but the service does not suffer because of it.
Any request was not looked down upon. The staff was more than willing to help no matter what we were requesting.
I am very likely
to return to the Tahiti Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

When you look at their web site for Sept 3-8, the rate for a room is $80 max. But when I called on the 8th to book a room, the rate was magically $170, the reason being "it was the last room". The Jersey shore is barely worth $80 off season in my opinion, but to be gouged after advertising another price is unethical. Keep looking.

I stayed at the Tahiti Inn for a wedding in Ocean City over Labor Day weekend 2007. Growing up in South Jersey, I've been to Ocean City numerous times, however this was the first time staying at the Tahiti Inn and it was next to the wedding reception at the Flanders, which by the way, is a great place for receptions. The Tahiti Inn is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in the world. From the start at check in, the staff was extremely rude. The price per night was $145 for a room that has not been updated since it was built. While trying to take a nap, the maid staff sat outside by room on chairs and talked to each other very loudly. After the wedding itself, about half the wedding party went back to the Inn where they were staying and decided to unwind. When the owner came out because of the gathering, we complained to him about the inn, to which he responded that we were not welcome and actually called the police. When the police arrived, they said that there was nothing wrong going on with guests and that the owner should calm down. This place is very close to the boardwalk, but that is about all that it has going on for it. I wouldn't recommend it to even my worst enemy. STAY AWAY!

Okay
This is the place that we usually stay at every year in Ocean City. The hotel itself is located 1 block from the boardwalk/beach, and towards the middle of all the attractions and shops on the boardwalk. While this is not the nicest hotel I have...

Okay
Nice clean rooms, within the Beach and Boardwalk block. There is a small restaurant for breakfast and lunch that serves basic meals that are pretty good. They have a pool and parking for 1 car per room. Prices are average for the area. They also...
