I loved the beautiful setting in the woods. The mineral spring hot tubs were wonderful. Bring hiking gear to fully enjoy the outdoor areas of this hotel.
There were plenty of activities scheduled or one could be entertained in the private mineral tub outside of our room.
I am very likely
to return to the Sycamore Mineral Springs.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The Sycamore Mineral Springs is a great resort for all occasions. The service was great for all the aspects of my stay, room service, checking in, etc. All of the employees are friendly and capable of their positions. The location is tucked away in the hills and offers seclusion from the busy, outside world.
I was attending a wedding and the entire staff involved had a cheery disposition. Combined with the festivities of the wedding this resulted in an electric feeling that carried over to the stay at the hotel.
I am very likely
to return to the Sycamore Mineral Springs.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We stayed in a room with the hot tub on the semi-private deck with no fireplace. The maid service did not replace the empty shampoo bottle (the plastic one had cracked and all of it had leaked out) and gave us only one robe (but it was luxurious) and one washcloth for two people! We called and got a second robe, but after awhile, got tired of calling on so many missed details...at a luxury resort spa where your troubles melt away?
It was winter and it got a little damp and cold, with only the in-wall blower heater to noisily warm our room. Our very average regular TVs remote did not work and when we called they promised to send someone but did not. Room had nice furniture, but no bathroom counter space at all! And things fell and broke.
The 'twilight hike' was just a long, hard hike up a gravel road behind the resort, just in time to see almost total darkness and the twinkling harbor lights below. We were given flashlights to make the trek down in the wet.
There was a blackout in the local area from 6pm-4am, so we got really cold in the room and they just provided some candles, no flashlights and it was pouring rain and we were wet and cold, hot tub didn't work due to electric pumps and no hot water in the shower or sinks due to electronic gas ignition which they forgot to re-light the next morning. Big deal, they put a candle outside our door...but nothing for inside the room or by the staircase or a mini-flashlight. And there was a Wal Mart and K Mart open just 5 minutes down the freeway with electricity. The staff just huddled by the front desk and chatted. When electricity came on for most of property we asked to be moved to a room with a fireplace but were refused. At $199/night (we stayed two nights) this was a drag, and we left rather cranky the next morning. When we complained a bit upon leaving (they asked how we enjoyed our stay) they offered half off of one night on our next visit, oh, gee! We get to do this again soon? How about half off of last night?
Even if the blackout wasn't your fault, you were going down in flames prior to that and the blackout just confirmed it.

My daughter and I planned for an upscale getaway this year and found Sycamore a great experience. We opted for a stay and package (Journey) which included an upgrade to a suite, an outdoor adventure (choice of gold, kayak, or riding), and we chose the horseback ride.
The best items included our first night dinner in the restaurant (over $100), but with the package coupons it was only $15 out of pocket. Their customer service is exceptional and director of service, Kathy, was friendly and on top of her job. There were a wide range of treatments, and we selected the full body massage (again not extra cost with the package), and gladly tipped our therapist for making us both feel like putty.
Our particular suite has the mineral springs included (only 4 do) so we could fill the tub any time to soothe away aches and tensions. This was more private than the visit to the tubs on the hill, which were available free in our package deal. The package was less than $450 for everything and a good value considering the perks.
I recommend planning ahead, go during less busy weeks, ask for help planning to get best value from their packages, and enjoy the friendly employees. Although there were so many pluses, one concern might include nearby traffic, but overall, it was a positive visit.

Sycamore is a wonderful getaway. You can either go to the outdoor hottubs that are secluded and pay by the hour to relax, or you can stay in the hotel. There are a couple of different sections of the hotel, but my favorite are the cottags. They are...

These hot springs are natural sulfer so much fun to soak in. This resort also offers a hotel with hot tubs in the rooms and full grooming options. Sit back and enjoy a complete body massage from the best staff in the area. The prices are a bit steep ...
