Great HotelIdeal for Business. Great location, was able to check in 1 hour earlier than check in time. Front desk lines were very long. Check-in was efficient, yet mechanical. No personal welcome. Hotel has beautiful decor; Rooms are quite large, nice bathroom with tub and a separate shower area. Fantastic views from higher floors. Bar in Lobby area popular, friendly staff there. Concierge in lobby, but 30 min. wait to talk to him due to lots of tourists asking him questions. Fitness center near roof level 42nd floor; large indoor pool and large fitness area, locker rooms with saunas/steamrooms. Note: only 2 of the 4 elevators go to these top floors. Also encountered a burly woman at the desk; Curt, yet effecient. Told me I took the wrong kind of towel. Thanks. Bell staff and Doorman service supurb. Location is very convienent. A high class operation. Wish there were more of this chain in the US. This is the only one here. Wish there were a rooftop restaurant and lounge.
I am very likely
to return to the Swissotel Chicago.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
I think the Swissotel was in an exceptional location. The view of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan was awsome. The rooms were clean and delightfully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing I disliked about it was...that for...
42 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
The room was big and luxurious, befitting the price tag ($299). Bed was very comfortable. However, my bed was against the wall abutting the elevator shaft, and I heard the elevators running all night.
Also held a one-day conference there for 25 people. They stuck us in a long, narrow room that was cramped. Also, the night before we had a pre-conference dinner at the Palm restaurant in the hotel. Service was so slow that some of our party left before entrees were served. And the steaks were only so-so, a far cry from my experience with other Palms.
The concierge was fantastic. She indulged our every whim and could answer our most trivial questions. She located the most exotic truffles in the Loop and they were within walking distance from the hotel. Views are unbeatable from the rooms. The...

The location was perfect. The rooms were very clean and nicely arranged. The beds were comfortable. The noise level is low for good sleeping. The lobby area was roomy and there were many things to do in and around the hotel. There were wonderful room views of the lake.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Swissotel Chicago.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The location was perfect. It was close to the conference site and close to many fun activities, for example the Navy Pier. The Palms restaurant was a bit pricey, but otherwise, it was a lovely hotel.
The beds were quite comfortable as were the chairs. The room had soothing colors and enough draperies to keep out any bright lights.
I am not likely
to return to the Swissotel Chicago.
I would not recommend it to friends.
