pros: Decent views. Efficient staff. This is a decent BASIC hotel. Don't come here expecting the four-star service touted in the promotional materials for this property, though. The room I had, 3316, faced south with a great view of the lake and...

The hotel is only a short walk from Michigan Avenue and it has a nearby public garage. I highly recommend using the cafe bar on the central level. The food was great and the service was excellent.
I am very likely
to return to the Swissotel Chicago.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I had to wait in a line to check in. The front desk staff did not smile at anyone or acknowledge our presence. The first full day I was there, my room was not cleaned until after seven o'clock in the evening. The location was great! The service could have been friendlier.
I am not likely
to return to the Swissotel Chicago.
I would not recommend it to friends.

More like 2 Star. Very Dated. Moldy bathroom and smelly old carpet. Horrible old bed that sunk in on one side. No plastic bag for ice bucket. Will never stay here again. Hotel is architecturally beautiful from exterior, but needs to be gutted...
My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the decor was pleasant, and the staff was great. Well worth the price for downtown.

I have stayed at the hotel many times. It is my favorite business travel hotel on the Loop due to the incredible value.
The bedding is the best I have enjoyed at hotels and the service and meals price is excellent. I always recommend business associates stay there. Is you want mega luxury stay at the $500 plus a night hotels. My point is that for $200 to $275 a night the hotel is by far the best I have consistently experienced.
