Good
43 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

We picked the Surfside because we wanted a long weekend in P-Town and very few options existed. Most required a weekly stay. We were concerned because we had seen some questionable reviews, but decided to dive in anyway. We were very pleased that we did.

The room was on the small side, but had a dresser, small table, a king bed (we were told it would be a queen), fridge, coffee, and many other items. It was also very clean and neat. The best surprise was a duvet cover on a nice comforter that they wash and replace after every stay. No concerns over what nasties might be on the blanket or bedspread!

The hallways and stairs in the hotel depict an older Cape Cod Motel. They are a bit worn and the doors are not what you would call airtight and substantial. However, the room was well appointed and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Surfside is a bit far from town center. That is both a positive and negative. If you want to lounge by the pool or go out on the beach in front of the hotel, it is quiet and nice. They will even serve beverages from the bar at poolside ... just hit a button and they appear to take your order. It is also close to the east end galleries which is great. On the other side, walking back and forth is a hike. There are plenty of options for public transport, but walking was our mode of choice.

One other thing ... it is pet friendly. That can be scary because it often indicates that it will also be "crunchy" and smell a bit like wet dog. Not the case at all. If we had not seen that before we arrived, we never would have known.

Overall, a great place that we will visit again.
