female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
My boyfried and I booked a room at this hotel in August 2009. We had stayed there before because we travel with our two dogs. I booked the room over the phone a week before and told them I had pets. When we arrived I went and checked in,then we went and walked our dogs. I had went up to the room and a male worker came out and told my boyfried we didnt pay a pet fee. I thought when I booked the room they added the pet fee in but I guess they didnt. So my boyfriend takes the credit card down to the lobby to pay. When he came back he had a refund. I ask why and he said that one of our dogs was over the weight limit. This was not true and we had styed at the same hotel before with the same dogs and never had any trouble. I found it really interesting it went from come pay to the fee to you cant stay here! I would say it was because the two front desk employees who were there were not even at the front desk they were standing outside working on some old broke down car and smoking. I got the impression from them they didnt want to deal with customers they just wanted to keep working on the car. The worst was yet to come. We went across the street to Americas Best Value Inn. They were great there and gladly welcomed our dogs. Funny becuase both hotels have the same pet policy! I posted a bad review for this Super 8 on another website and was then sent a nasty email from the female worker who was standing outside by the car, She claimed tp be aother guest and said I was lying in my review but when I looked at her user profile on the other hotel rating site, there was her name and location of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. I was not the only guest to be harrased by this same employee. Another review on trip Advisor said the same employee had harrassed them when they posted a bad review. I reporetd this employee to Super 8 headquarted and the manager of this particular Super 8. She has no right to insult guests just beacuse she failed to do her job and got called out on it. I would not reccomed this hotel. Just read the reviews and this site and other hotel sites. Almost all of them are bad and many say the same things about the staff. In a town like Pigeon Forge there are too many places to stay to waste your time on this hotel.

Excellent
I read the review fo this motel but we decided to try it anyway. I am sure glad I did. The staff was fantastic, the rooms were very clean and the price was better than most in town. As far as being behind Long John Silvers, I don't mind looking...
