Okay
When we checked in at 4:00 p.m., the parking lot was literally empty. Because of a bad back and knees, I requested a lower level room (two story hotel with no elevator). I was told simply that they had no lower level rooms available. No...

I've been going to this hotel for 30 years since it was a Holidome and it's still worth the money. I've been staying every Monday for a month because my daughter is in the hospital in OKC and it's been clean, quiet and comfortable each time. The...
We are among the thousands of Oklahoman's that ended up without electricity this December of 2007, and we were fortunate to find a room available after a night in the cold. When we asked the hotel for their weekly rate they told us it would be $360 for seven days. The evening rate was $85 with tax. That sounded like a great deal. Being a young family with limited income, my parents offered to pay for the week to be sure their grandson was warm. When my father went to pay for the room, the manager had decided that they were not going to honor the weekly rate, nor would they honor their typical government discounts. Therefore, the rate for 7 days by his calculations was going to be $690. Do the math on that one. There was no need for them to encourage anyone to stay for longer than one night because everyone needed the rooms until they could regain their heat. To me that is just simply taking advantage of the misfortune of others. I will never use the Super 8 again. I don't care to promote the extortion of my neighbors! I did find a hotel, a much nicer one... The Country Inn and Suites that not only gave us a weekly discount... but the longer we have to stay... with each day the rate goes down. I'm sure their is a minimum... but what a neighborly way to be! I did call the Super 8 main line and each Super 8 is individually owned and operated. They are allowed to make their own decisions as to whether or not they allow the discounted rates. So they may not all be the same way.

The location was good. The property itself could use an update, although the room was fine. We were with another couple who had a medical emergency and the phone in their room was not turned on. It took us a couple of calls to the front desk to solve the problem.
I am very likely
to return to the Super 8 Norman.
I might recommend it to friends.

I stayed one night here and completely enjoyed it. The room was great for the money. The bed was soft and comfortable. The pool/common area was very nice. The staff was friendly and ready to help, and the breakfast was good. I would stay here again.
