Super 8 Motel York

management 1st put us on the 3rd flr where the tv was broken and there was black dirt in the tub. my friends was put in a room next door and her security latch was not usable. We both insisted we be switched to different rooms. The stairways appear to not have been cleaned in months. The outside doors do not lock so anyone has access in. To make matters worse another friend who was also on the 3rd floor had bugs in his bed. should have paid the extra $25 and stayed at the country inn & suites.

I woke up at 4AM bleeding from bedbug bites in my room on the 2nd floor! I caught about a dozen and sealed them in a plastic bag which I showed the manager. I am sending the critters to the PA Department of Health. There are so many hotels in this area that there is no need to stay in this place!

the hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The hallways and lobby were over a hundred degrees and that was not very pleasant as the outside temp was over ninety degrees. The carpeting in the room could use a good shampooing as it had a unpleasant odor, which the maid tried to cover using air freashener. The linens were clean but were very worn and were not a crisp type of clean. The room over all was clean and tidy. I stayed for 3 days as the price was right. If u want the hilton or a 3,4,5 type of stay, I would not recommend as you will get what u pay for.

The walls were paper thin. They charged me triple the amount for the room and it was dirty and noisy.

Every thing was fine except the third floor and the first floor was smoking and it permeated all the hallways and elevator.
