First off, let me say that this location is a disgrace to the company name and image.
We reserved a room for 4 people via www.super8.com website. Upon arriving at hotel was told additional charge was to be added to the rate, due to having extra people in the room. We were told that they could not honor the rate and it was just a suggestion. We only had 4 people; as such the reservation was made for. Hotel attempted to charge us extra on top of the rate for having 4 people, after arguing with them for over 20 minutes, we finally we're refunded the extra $ and proceeded to the room. The room was beyond disgusting. The carpet was sticky and stained, the air conditioning did not work, the windows opened, but the screen was all broken and besides letting all the summer bugs in, we were on the 1st floor, not too safe. By morning the room was about 90 degrees inside. The door to the room did not shut properly. The bed did not have fitted sheets on it, just a flat sheet. The pillows were so flat and thin, that it was basically a pillow case. There were no blankets, just a bedspread. There was a weird odor in the room. The bathroom door didn't close all way; there was not a single towel of any kind in the room. There were dead bugs behind the bathroom door. The floor was so sticky your shoes stuck when you walked and looked as if it hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. The room and the lobby of the place appeared to be decorated in furniture from Goodwill or something like that nothing matched it was really rough. We checked in around 10pm and check out at 530 am, because we couldn't stand being in the room any more. Also didn't really sleep for fear of bugs crawling over us. When we went to check out, there was no one around, just a handwritten note on the desk saying to leave your keys. We all felt as if we needed to be disinfected after being on the property. The continental breakfast was bananas, mini-muffins, mini-donuts, coffee in a 6 oz cup and juice that had more water than juice in it. We were unable to cancel our room and stay somewhere else due to a convention in town, nothing else was available. But now after staying in the room, I think sleeping in my car would have been healthier and safer than staying there was. One thing for sure, we really got scammed out of our $and we will never be staying a Super 8 ever again. Maybe they should change your name to “Super Nasty” at this location.
I'm just waiting see a rash or ringworm appear somewhere on my body.
