Super 8 Motel San Diego

I am the dad. I had my daughter, friend and 3 young kids stay there for three nights. After a full day of fun in the sun I wanted them to stay for the night and return to AZ after a good nights rest. The manager (Dale) would not permit my daughter to use my credit card for another nights stay. (they used the card for the previous 3 nights). Dale sent them on their way to AZ. This is just beyond reason. Do not go to this establishment. There is no personaliaztion...just money.

i reserved a non smoking room on the phone and was told that all there smoking rooms were on the first floor . so when i arrive the lady at the counter was talking on the phone so as i wait over hear her having a personal call . so she finally gives us our key , then we go to the room that was on the first floor and didn't have a non smoking sign , and it smelled . so we went back and tried to tell her that this wasn't what we asked for she didn't answer at first and started to talk to another employee in Spanish . so she finally says that is what we asked for and there isn't any rooms left . so we said we didn't want the room so she told us we would have to pay for one night and we refuse and asked for someone higher she said they can't be reached so we said there has to be a number and she finally gave us it and we called the main chain number and the stated that there is 20 min rule if you are unhappy with the room for any reason you don't have to pay so we told her and she still argued and then called sum one and gave the money back but was rude .

The location was very central to everything there was to do. The room was comfortable and clean.

This hotel made me feel welcome: Everyone was very polite and helpful.

The hotel was good value, with clean rooms and a nice location.

The only problem that I have with Super 8 motels is that they are all way overpriced! It would be great if the rates were reduced to some extent, especially on weekends!
