Super 8 Motel Osage Beach Motel - Page 1

We arrived at 5pm on a Fri. The lobby smelled of mold. The carpets were very dirty. There were many things out of order; the restroom, computers, and soda machine. I had made reservations with them and wished to cancel due to the poor condition of the hotel. We looked at 3 rooms before making our final decision to leave. The elevator taken to look at these rooms was filthy. There was dirt and mold in the grooves for the door to the elevator and the smell of mold was very strong. Once exiting the elevator we entered a hallway which was about 90 degrees. The worst part was our customer service. The manager left in the middle of our cancellation issue. In a later phone conversation about the $101 dollar charge to my card she was sarcastic and rude. She had children with her during our discussion at the hotel and never introduced herself as a manager. She has since refused to take the charge off my card. If you are looking for a clean hotel with any type of customer service at the Lake. I suggest you keep looking. There are many to choose from other than the Super 8 that would be a $100 well spent!

This place looks ok from the outside-but don't go in! There was no air conditioning on the second & third floors so it was at least 90. Everything was either out of order or dirty. Computers were down, ice machine broken, restrooms off lobby out of order,soda machine not working, hot tub looked like swamp water, smelled of mold, and I have lots of pictures to prove it. We didn't stay because of all the above but our credit card was still charged . We still haven't got that resolved and may never. The manager-or so called was rude and refused to speak to us in person, only on the phone with the receptionist. Need I say more!! There are alot of hotels-choose another!!!

This place was very dirty and smelled of mold/mildew, the A/C did not work, so it was close to 90 degrees indoors, the computers were down, the ice machine and vending machines were out of order! The manager was extremely rude! She left and then called the front desk and told the receptionist to offer us a suite, of which we looked at. It was a regular room with a couch in it! We had a reservation, but was not informed of the 72 hour cancellation policy. They refused to cancel it and still charged our credit card for a night's stay! I would not recommend this place to anyone!

It was very expensive for one night. The room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained.

It was run down, no hot tub, no indoor pool. I needed more than just a night's sleep.
