Super 8 Motel Long Beach Motel - Page 1

I am very comfortable at the Super 8 and have stayed there multiple times. I appreciate the small amenities like the microwave and mini-fridge (and unlimited HBO). They also offer a computer for guest use in the lobby for those of us that cannot take advantage of the free WiFi in the rooms (I do not possess a laptop). I have been disappointed by their continental breakfast as of late...they only serve waffles on the weekends now so the typical breakfast only consists of the regular fares (cold cereal and toast, etc.). The majority of the staff is friendly and helpful and they have handled my account proficiently. Although I am generally satisfied with the rooms and services, I do not feel the room is worth more than $100 a night during the tourist season. I recommend this hotel during the off-season when the rates or more reasonable and economical (around $80).

They seemed to know what they were doing but did not seem to have enough staff to properly clear all of the needed rooms for our incoming group in a timely manner.

This hotel made me feel respected: They remembered me when I returned to the desk.

Someone in the room next to us was crying hysterically, and loud! We called down to the desk and they sent someone up to check on things and proceeded to let us know that everything was indeed OK and thanked us for notifying them. It was dealt with promptly.

This hotel made me feel practical: We had been camping and decided that roughing it was a little bit too rough at the time. Staying in a hotel was not originally in the plans, but we made it possible because of the room rates. It made us feel practical despite the change of plans.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: Willing to change rooms because of my disability.
