Super 8 Motel Ithaca Motel - Page 2

This was our fourth stay at this particular motel. The location is ideal as there is a Wegman's Supermarket directly across the street and you can walk to it in two minutes! There's also a plaza nearby with a Barnes and Noble Bookstore. This Super 8 Motel has, by far, the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced in any hotel, including hotels such as Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, Radisson, and Hyatt Regency. This motel is located near Cornell University and Ithaca College. These two schools always seem to have events going on that have parents and family of students coming in from out of town. If you're going to book a reservation at this motel, you best do it way in advance. Especially, if you plan on staying there in either August or September. We once could not get a room there even though we tried reserving one seven months in advance! Overall, it's a great motel! Not a great deal of bells and whistles such as a swimming pool, workout room, or restaurant. However, if you want a clean room with comfortable beds and a good night's rest then this is the place.

It is perfect. It’s centrally located and has a friendly staff. It’s clean and simple.

It’s right next to large 24 hour grocery store. It took me less than five minutes to get to Cornell. They had free breakfast and internet access. I will definitely return. The price was $99 on weekend, the cheapest in Ithaca!

I loved the location and their staff. I stayed here the last weekend in September 2006. I was quite impressed with the appearance and how clean every area was. The breakfast is modest with juice, bagels, Sara-Lee, oatmeal, cereal, etc. They do have coffee al the time, and it's good! Not all lodging (even the very expensive hotels in Ithaca) are as clean as this place was. It was a nice change and I feel that I have really lucked out finding this place! I will definitely stay here from now on.

There isn't a bad thing to say about the place. The staff was wonderful, they really knew the area and gave us tons of "local" tips about where to go and what to do. This is by far the cleanest Super 8 I have ever stayed in. I disagree with some other reviews I saw on the price, it's Ithaca, so naturally you pay more. But my cost of $89.99 on a weekend in September was very reasonable considering that the Hampton was charging $149 and the Comfort Inn $119! They are further out and closer to Route 13, it seemed like noise would be an issue. We didn't hear any traffic at Super 8.

This is a beautiful and clean motel. I was quite surprised, having stayed at less than nice Super 8’s elsewhere. I loved the location, it’s less than 3 minutes to either Cornell or Ithaca College. There’s a Wegman’s right across the street. And I called several places, and they were the cheapest. I stayed somewhere else on a previous trip (I won't mention it here - awful) but the Super 8 was a very pleasant "find" in Ithaca!

The location was prime, on a corner on one of two main roads. The rooms were nice, newly remodeled. It was the nicest Super 8 motel I have ever been in.

It has a great location but is a little pricey. The use of a hotel computer was very handy. The complimentary breakfast was a great help.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: It was a trip to my home town. It was a place where I felt at home.

I had a clean and comfortable room at a reasonable price.

This is the best place in Ithaca!! I love the area, right next to Wegmans! It's obvious why it wins a lot of awards!

This was the best value I have found in the Ithaca area. The staff was very friendly and helpful - thank you Brandon and it was super clean. They were just renovated, it looks amazing.

Unusually expensive for a Super 8.

Check-in staff was very bored with dealing with me. The check-out morning girl was very helpful. The room was very basic and clean, but nothing special for the $100 we spent.
