It is an affordable, clean and friendly place to stay. There is a Cracker Barrel restaurant next door open late and it is next to an interstate. The interstate is about an hour away from Talladega Motor Speedway.

This hotel made me feel welcome: I called to get directions to the hotel and the lady was very nice and very knowledgeable about the area. Check in was swift and the lady remembered us from last year. They had very nice people working there.

The air conditioner units drained onto the concrete walkway, making the second floor walkway very slippery. Steps leading to the second floor were slippery and the protective strip put on the edges of the steps was coming loose, causing a tripping hazard. At check in we were put in a room that was supposed to have a refrigerator. When that room did not have one, the hotel staff asked if my husband would be willing to move a refrigerator himself. The room where that was located was cleaner than ours, so we just changed rooms. The toilet had a small leak. The bed linens had cigarette holes and this was a non smoking room. There were no fitted sheets or mattress pads, so often we ended up in the morning on bare mattress. Often the mattress slid off the box springs. When I was doing one last check of things to make sure my family was leaving nothing behind, I found items left behind by the guests before us. The staff was friendly enough but they did not seem to know too much about local attractions.

Was a stay because of bad travel werather,it was close to i95.
