Super 8 Motel Brooklyn Motel - Page 1

This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed at in my entire life! During Labor Day weekend last year in 2007, my dad, sister, and I attended the weding reception of my dad's classmate's son. Instead of having that reception in Detroit, they have it here in this so-called dump at a country club that we spent hours trying to find! We would up staying in this god-foresaken hellhole, and it was just plain awful! When we first arrived, they put us in a smoking room, and then we went to the front desk and asked if there was a non-smoking room available. They said nothing else was available. Then they send the housekeeper over with a can of Lysol and she sprays it all around the room and the beds, but that didn't cover up the stinky smokey smell at all! They relocate us to a suite, which sucked as much as a regular room in this dump. When you first walk in, there is a kitchen and living room with a sofa that pulls out into a bed, then there is the bedroom with the bed and dresser and of all things, a jacuzzi tub in the corner of the room! I mean, disgusting! The bathroom was located in that same area, which almost expanded out into the bedroom, which is also sick. That night my dad and I let my sister sleep on the regular bed and we slept on the sofa bed. That sofa bed was completely different from the ordinary- it slanted almost to the inside of the sofa and the stupid metal bars poked at us all freaking night long! I never had this bad of an experience with hotels, if you ask me! This is a place I know never, EVER to go back to.

It's always a pleasure to stay here. The staff is quick to respond to any room problems.
