Over the phone, staff was helpfull althooough, upon arriving at 11pm, clerk says it will be 10-15 mins before housekeeping can clean the room. "Don't most hotels clean between 11am & 3pm?", I ask. Clerk replys, "We clean all hours of the day. " I thought her reply was odd...I mean as a hotel guest who wants to hear housekeeping running a vacuum at 11pm? Whatever, just point me to a clean bed. I mean I know this is Super 8 not Marriot or Holiday Inn. If I travel I usually stay at buget hotels and they are usually Super 8. I have had very few complaints with this franchise before this stay.

Pooh, that everyone loves. I dismiss it thinking, housekeeping "had to go really bad" during the 15 mins while they were getting the room ready. An hour later there is water on the floor and the toilet keeps turning on. A look closer at the surroundings reveals long term water damage i the bathroom.
I call the front desk "Oh no, we have never had a problem" Yeah right! Housekeeping comes up with a bucket and some towels, he sops up the water and leaves the towels to soak more water. I go to the front desk to talk with the clerk. She is busy adjustng the tv volume in the lobby when I tell her again about the leak. She says without lookng at me or facing me "Yes, I sent housekeeping to clean it up. It's ok. We have to take care of these things all the time. It's part of running a hotel. It's alright, we'll get it fixed." She didn't offer an apology or another room. Instead she quickly opens the door to the front desk and walks away into the backroom. Unbelieveable. A complete 180 in her attitude from when I checked in. I have rarely seen such disregard. I was angry to say the least.
What could I do? It was late and I had to get some sleep for the next day. I threw all the towels on the bathroom floor and tried to get some sleep. Truth is I did not get much sleep because I was angry and digusted.
I feel the hotel was negligent in their attempt to fix the toliet, they were deceitful when they rented me the room knowing the tolet was leaking, and they were rude about guest satisfaction and comfort.
I do not recomend this hotel to anyone, except maybe the desk clerk. Appantly she has a more tollerant level of "pooh" than I do. Also the hotel is not so close to Midway Airport. Next time I will chose a better quality hotel closer to the airport.
