Super 8 Motel Abilene

This hotel is definately not kid friendly! The "owner" of this hotel is rude to parents, kids and everyone she comes into contact with. Evidently the "owner" as she wants everyone to know when they arrive lives on the 3rd floor and tries to run the place as a concentration camp or something. From the moment we arrived she was rude and mean to all of the kids in the hotel. She actually complained that the kids touched the elevator door and got finger prints on the elevator. She was unrealistic and went to all of the pa=rents telling them they should better supervise their children. The pool is closed because it could not pass the city code to open the pool. STAY AWAY!!!

I had a free room from the elite rewards. There was poor communication. I had to hunt to find a motel to honor my free night as most would not but they had rooms available if you were willing to pay. I would suggest the ones who do not cooperate either be noted or get out of the program.

Most Super 8 motels seem to be right on train tracks. I never heard a train the whole time we were there. It was a very clean and well cared for property.

I liked the nice bed and the TV. There were some fixtures in disrepair, some light switches and slow drains that also needed repair.

This is a very good inexpensive motel chain.
