After making the reservation for a suite at this location - with a rate for up to 4 people, the front desk stung us for another $20 for additional persons....and there were only 4 in the room. Bad business practice, and I will never use reservetrav

We like this super 8 on munras ave in monterey. Best thing is that accros the Del Monte Shoping mall. We will come back again and let our friends know.

We stayed at this hotel from Aug 5 to Aug 8 2008. The hotel is okay, the rooms are spacious and clean with internet access.
However we had a problem with the price: I booked 2 rooms via the hotels.com website, which apparently used travelnow.com to make the reservations. When I checked in at the hotel the manager told me that the rate I had was an AAA rate although I am not an AAA member. Nothing about AAA rate was ever mentioned on the website when I booked the rooms. This is clearly an error on the website. I had to pay $78 more than expected. Now travelnow.com offers $30 in vouchers as a compensation for their mistake an consistently denies any answer to me several following emails. Hotels.com say they can't do anything. Therefore I do not recommend to use travelnow.com to make a reservation as they do not seem reliable and offer poor customer service.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Monterey. I have stayed in many hotels in monterey, and I think this is one of the best ones I stayed in. The rooms are very spacious, the staff is excellent, and the location is great....

Excellent
We came to Monterey for a Vacation and we were very delighted with our stay. The rooms were very clean and large. Also they provide continental breakfast that has good selctions of cereals , danish, bagels etc.
