This motel is an aging old lady who put a little powder on her nose and tries to pass herself off as a beauty queen. I just completed a 5-night stay. Here's what I experienced: (1) heat & AC system is a wall unit that has water going thru its pipes (hot water in winter, cold water in summer). There's a sign on the wall that says something like "Sorry, but during the inbetween seasons we can't change the hot/cold water to suit the conditions day by day. If you're cold, we'll give you an extra blanket, and if you're warm, we'll give you a fan." (2) The heat or AC comes out of the unit by turning on a blower which is controlled by a thermostat. The stat doesn't kick on until the room is way too cold, and doesn't kick off until the room is way too hot. And, when the stat does kick on, the blower roars and rattles like a S.O.B. When the blower is on, you can't hear the TV unless you turn it up. I had to sleep with earplugs. (3) Insufficient soundproofing between rooms. You can hear the heavy breathing in the neighboring rooms. (4) The internet connection sucks. They give you a box to plug into your computer. Problem is the box didn't work. The manager had to come to the room and fiddle with it for a long time and ended up calling tech support to get more instructions. Then it finally did work, but numerous times it would suddenly lock up and take me back to its home page and make me agree to the terms of service. I must have agreed to the G.D. terms a dozen times in the 5 days I was there. (5) When I went to check out around 6am, the front desk was deserted. There was a sign that said Back in a Moment, Please be Patient. Hey, a "moment" my arse. I waited 15 minutes for a guy to show up. And then he hassled me about the return of the internet box that they had let me use. When I checked in, they said I would be charged for the box unless I returned it. Well, now I was returning it and I wanted the guy to sign a written acknowledgement that I had done so. He refused. After repeating my request several times, he finally took out a Log Book where they keep track of these boxes, and in front of my eyeballs, he logged in the unit I was returning. (6) Overall condition of the property is fair to poor. Deferred maintenance is evident. I've stayed in Motel 6's that were much better than this place. I will never stay here again. Shame, shame.

We have stayed at this location each time we have gone to Reno for about five years. The staff is accommodating. The area has plenty to do, including a mall, restaurants, car wash.
I am very likely
to return to the Super 8 Meadow Wood Courtyard.
I might recommend it to friends.

It's not a 5-star place, but we continue to stay there because it is no worse than some other chain hotels and it is convenient to the family we visit, and we have had no specific problems while staying there. The staff generally are friendly. We stay at holidays, but the staff are still friendly. We do not stay there for the amenities, but because we need a place to shower and sleep. It works for that. There has in the past been nothing that would prevent me from booking there in the future. We will be there for Thanksgiving this year. I will write back if it is horrible.

The bed sagged to the middle. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom and the bedroom. The tile and the grout were falling off in the tub. The room was booked for three people and it only had two towels. The floor to the ceiling window left me with a very unsafe feeling. The water smelt and tasted bad. We were going with a budget hotel because we just needed a place to sleep, but it was not even good enough to do that in comfort.

I would not recommend it to friends.

Okay
Everything was decent - clean and simple. We were very disappointed that the pool was drained, as this was not mentioned when we booked the hotel online, with a view of a lovely filled pool.

Mediocre
The heating and cooling systems are old and cannot function at the same time. We spent a few warm nights because the cooling system had been turned off for the season. The continental breakfast was disappointing.
