The room (2 beds) was very spacious. The bathroom was not cramped, and both were clean. We asked for non-smoking, got a non-smoking floor (2nd), and indeed there's no whiff of smoke. (The lobby, alas, was pretty smoky. But who spends time there?) The price can't be beat: $48, or $44 with senior discount (Sunday night). I've stayed in lots of no-name motels in small towns that were worse and more expensive. The restaurant has good solid food with a price comparable to Denny's, quality and quantity better, and only the faintest hint of smoke.
OK, so there are dings on the walls. But if you can't forgive that, find a different chain. For what it is, it's great. I should mention, for those who like the Strip, it's a ways away. And they ask for your ID with your credit card - even in the restaurant! And the parking lot feels seedy, but that's the neighborhood not the motel. I don't gamble so I can't rate the casino.
