50 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Had never stayed at a Super 8 before. Didn't expect much. Lobby was attractive and well-maintained. Room was very large. Bathroom appeared to have been remodeled recently. Nice tile work. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was a little lacking - just very basic.

This is a very nice motel, but it has terrible service. Internet is advertised as free, but they charge you $5 for an Ethernet patch cable to use it.
The motel is about 2 miles from the IAH airport. They claim they have a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes and you just need to tell the front desk 10 minutes before you would like to take it. Well the front desk, at least in the morning, refuses to answer their phone. I let the phone ring over 40 times and didn't get an answer. So I tried going down to the desk. The lady present was quite rude but seemed to indicate that a shuttle would be there at 4:30 AM when I needed it. Well the shuttle wasn't there. And when I stepped outside to wait she locked the doors behind me. At 4:45AM I tried to inquire about when the shuttle would arrive. There is a buzzer to request that they come to the front desk. It was 12 minutes of pressing the buzzer before she appeared. Then she was unhelpful at best and rude at worst. The shuttle finally did show up a 5AM. The shuttle driver indicated that everyone complains about the terrible service at the Super 8.
It's a nice facility. I would suggest that Super 8 revoke the franchise of operator and bring in a new operator. Or at least the local operator ought to hire service staff.
