Stayed here at this Super 8 and they made a photo copy of credit card. When paid next morning (left on credit card) I said please rip up the photocopy of my card as this is personal ID and they said sorry it is our property now and we will keep it in a file cabinet for 3 years! I again said you have been paid in full, so please shread, and they said sorry, it is our right. I was polite and said in all the places I have stayed all over USA, never had this happen before. They were not helpful at all. When corporate was contacted they said, sorry, but nothing we can do. If they choose to keep a photocopy that is fine by us. When I said will never stay at a Super 8 again their reply was "SO WHAT". Very disappointing. Corporate said you need to talk to management at that shop. Tried several times to contact and the phone rang and rang and no one would ever answer. In all the places I have stayed all over the USA I have never had this happen. In the day of ID Theft this is a very poor practice and very inconsiderate to the patrons. Sure wish I would have stayed at the Drury down a couple exits. It would have been worth the extra $10-20 too.

We stayed at this location on March 24, 2007 and had a bad experience while at the facility. The pool area was not maintained and the faculty does not care that the unattended children harass and use fowl language at their guests.
While presenting the issue to faculty, nothing was done. They children ran up and down the hall the remainder of the night. It was like torture due to the other guest and lack of employee concern. While checking out mentioning the issues once again to the staff we received the statement that they can not control other guests, there job is to make sure guests are following their rules.
The entire facility is non smoking yet they fail to have ashtrays by each exit. My husband used a cup to prevent from trashing the grounds with cigarette butts and disposed of this in a cup of water in the only trash can available in our room. Two weeks later we checked our account and they have charged us a $100.00 fee for smoking with no notification. I have contacted the manager and received the story the maid said it was smoked in from the attendant that answered the phone when the manager called me back the story had changed to the guest the next night said the room had been smoked in, so they lost income.
In between my phone calls my husband called the location and found another story of they have sensors that tell them the room was smoked in. So there were three stories and no one knows the truth but us, it appears. We are a family of four on vacation to enjoy things outside of our room not to pay them to smoke in a room. The attitude I received from my contact with management was inappropriate I told the manager I would let others know and her response was you will not affect the Super 8 chain because they are just a franchise. This is a new location looking to make a quick buck in hard times. If you stay at this location, please watch your account for mysterious charges.
