The location was fine, the bed was a bit hard service was ok. Our microwave did not work unless you held the plug in at an odd angle with the refrigerator unplugged. The self serve breakfast was free which was good but the choices of food were limited and they did not include protein. The main complaint though was that the heating in the pool and the hot tub that we were looking so forward to was not working so the water was just plain icy.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Super 8 Bakersfield South CA.
I would not recommend it to friends.

In my opinion, it does not deserve it's rating. They first booked me in a room that was in an area they were doing repair to the hallway. They moved me upstairs and this room doesn't look clean. The bath is stained and walls need cleaning or paint....

My husband, dog, and I always stay at LQ since they take pets. But this LQ was the worst ever! The bathrooms are teenie tiny, the rooms have a musty smell and the hallways are just disgusting. I think they're remodeling - so maybe it will be better. ...

The desk clerk had a poor attitude and he was not very helpful. The breakfast was not of the quality I expect at a Super 8 motel, it was very skimpy, primarily a very cheap continental breakfast with coffee and sweet rolls. The room was not very clean. I would not recommend this particular motel if there is another choice close, but away from Bakersfield because of the stockyards.
