MacArthur Drive in Alexandria, LA is a scary place to have to rent a hotel room. It's very common to read in "The Town Talk" newspaper about gunpoint robberies at motels on this road. This Super 8, however, has a visible security presence to reassure its guests, and that's why I choose it every time I visit Alexandria/Pineville. The staff is courteous and welcoming and recognizes me as a repeat customer, which I appreciate. If you really do need to stay on MacArthur Drive, this is your wisest choice.
