I stayed at the Sunrise Beach Club for several years over the spring break holiday. Each stay was amazing. The location is perfect, the grounds are beautiful, and the feel is very relaxed. Pack a cooler, and you will not have to leave!
I have stayed at the RIU, Atlantis and Sunrise on multiple occasions and I believe that that Sunrise is the best choice! Of course the Atlantis has the most ammenities but you can still have those ammenities without paying the premium that the Atlantis charges. Staying at the Sunrise allows you the comforts of a private bar, pool and beach, secluded from the enormous crowds that show up daily from the cruise ships. The Sunrise is literally a 3 minute walk to the Atlantis. So you can enjoy the casino, shopping, dining, and auqaurium all without actually staying at the Atlantis. You can even pay a small fee (I paid about $25) to have full access to the Atlantis Water Parks for an entire day. If you like the private island feel during the day and busy nightlife at night, stay at the Sunrise. This place allows you the best of both worlds.

The Sunrise beach club and villas is the best place I have ever stayed at. I have stayed there on 2 different occassions and I had a great time both times. Wether your going to relax or hit the night life this is the place to stay. The resort offers comfortable housing right off the beach and just a short walk to the Atlantis casino. Sunrise is within walking distance to most restaurants and grocery stores and is a short cab ride to most of the top night life locations. I would suggest this resort to anyone planning on going to the Bahamas because it will give you, your family and freinds memories of a life time.

This place is really a gem on an island that is pretty much dominated by the Atlantis and Ocean Beach Club. I love that you get all the advantages of Staying at the Atlantis (since it is only one block away), yet you get to have your own personal space, kitchen, and private pools. We love walking over the bridge to get conch salad, doing local grocery shopping, and then coming back to our own little home away from from and cooking while enjoying the beautiful sunsets. This place is located right on the beach, directly between the Atlantis and Ocean Beach Club, it really couldn't be a better location. We took advantage of all that the front office had to offer by taking snorkeling trips, deep sea fishing, and even horseback riding on the beach. The bar is awesome and totally my style. A laid back ocean bar with class. No $10 Atlantis drinks here! Just great fun, island vibes, and incredibly nice people. I can't wait to go back!
This was one of the most amazing places that I have ever stayed. From the beautifully designed and decorated Villas to the unique and relaxing pools; this tropical hideaway is the quintessential vacation spot for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Bahamas. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the onsite tiki bar/lounge was a great spot to grab a drink or two, the beach was only a few steps from our front door, and the Atlantis was just far enough away (about 400 yards) so it didn’t feel as if you were in the mainstream of commercialized traveler world but it was still close enough to give you exclusive access to world class gambling, restaurants and shopping. When you stay here you get all of the luxuries of a world class hotel with the comfort and seclusion of an upscale beach Villa. If you’re looking for that perfect tropical getaway…look no further!!

clean resort near the heart of paradise island. close to major attractions with friendly, helpful staff. an all-inclusive possibilty would make it better, though the commercial kitchen ios too small to provide that service. their is an adequate kitc

Do stay here! They have family apartments (villas) with full kitchens. Food for the four of us would have been very expensive to eat out every night, although we would have loved to if we could afford it. Here we could cook a meal in when we wanted to and we were within walking distance of all kinds of stores, the ferry to Nassau, the Atlantis Casino and a whole lot of other stuff to do.
Mostly, we loved sitting on their beach with a drink from Archie's in our hand. The desk staff helped us set up a scuba diving trip that was scary at first but we loved it by the time we were done. The desk isn't open in the evening, which was a small bummer, because they helped us with everything.

I loved the friendly staff and the location right on the best part of the beach.
It is not crowded like the Atlantis Resort, but close enough to walk over there and go to the casino or eat at one of their gazillion restaurants. I really liked that there is a full kitchen, so you can stay in and cook a meal and just relax on the beach, or in the pool. They also serve drinks on the beach and at their own bar/cafe.
The parking lot could use some fixing, but who wants to drive a car there anyway. Not me!
