Get away to the scenic western shore of Lake Tahoe
Sunnyside Steakhouse & Lodge has been a landmark on Lake Tahoe since the 1950s because we?re the ultimate lakefront place to eat or stay. With our location right on the shores of Lake Tahoe's west side, Sunnyside has become a you-gotta-see-this destination for locals and visitors alike.
Classic, lodge-style appointments make each of Sunnyside's 23 guestrooms and suites an inviting place to sink into after the day's activities. Goose-down pillows and comforters are cozy touches, and private patios and decks mean relaxation is just steps away. You won?t find a more comfortable place to stay.
Of course, adventures and adventurers abound near Sunnyside and Lake Tahoe with numerous activities to choose from year-round, including: summer boating, water skiing, biking, hiking and fishing, and winter snow-skiing, snow-boarding, and cross-country skiing. Whichever you choose, you?ll find it within minutes of Sunnyside.

Excellent
We love this place!! When we are at Lake Tahoe with friends and family, this is one of our favorite places to dine. In fact we are going there next month and will probably go there.
EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT: THE BEDS AND DOWN PILLOWS ARE AMAZING; THE ROOMS, SPOTLESS; THE VIEW OF THE LAKE, EXCEPTIONAL; THE BREAKFAST, QUITE A HUGE AND LOVELY ASSORTMENT WITH HOT COFFEE AT THE READY; THE WHOLE STAFF, JUST SO PLEASANT AND OUTGOING;...

We stayed a few nights at Sunnyside. It was a dreadful experience. Sunnyside is a hip lakeside restaurant and bar, with a nice view and OK food, but the rooms are just an afterthought and the management couldnt have cared less.
We couldn't sleep, our room facing the lake was just above the restaurant and bar, so we could hear restaurant noise long into the early morning hours, and rooms alongside the parking lot suffer noise from cars and food and drink delivery trucks unloading with engines running at all hours.
The continental breakfast buns and muffins were stale, and they ran out of coffee 15 minutes after the breakfast started. Clearly, these people have no idea about how to offer hospitality to guests.

Don't miss this place when visiting Lake Tahoe. It has the nicest patio, best view, and great food. Very popular Hula mud pie is a must have. If you are on your boat, you can dock here and have breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Excellent
Sunnyside has a great atmosphere and an excellent menu. Over the summer I highly recommend eating outside. It may be a long wait, but worth it. Don't even consider leaving without ordering Hula Pie. If necessary, just come for the pie and eat dinner ...

Good
Sunnyside Restaurant at Lake Tahoe is a good place to go for lunch/dinner, with or without kids. For a more casual meal, dinner at the bar (inside or out) is always nice. The bar menu has a fairly good variety of dishes. For a more formal meal...

I love to go to Sunnyside for drinks in both winter and summer. I almost always just eat in the bar rather than the formal dining room. I get cravings for their seared ahi appetizer, and the fish tacos are also very popular. In the summer, eating ...
