The Sundy House, the home of the first Mayor of Delray Beach, Florida was built in 1902. The Sundy House is now known as the "Best Kept Secret" in Delray Beach. Our boutique Inn consists of eleven guest rooms or suites, each with its own individual personality. Our property boasts hardwood floors, hand-painted walls, and suites with full kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms and washers/dryers, in addition to balconies or patios. Our most deluxe accommodation, the historic cottage features a fireplace, plasma screen TV, Jacuzzi tub, and Rainforest showerhead. All room rates include breakfast. Our award winning restaurant Del La Tierra serves dinner and our famous Sundy Brunch voted best brunch in Palm Beach County by the Sun-Sentinel and Boca Magazine. Guest rooms and the restaurant are quaintly nestled in the heart of the Taru Gardens, home to over 500 species of exotic plants, ferns, fruit trees and bamboo. Cascading waterfalls, ponds and a tranquil tropical setting create a romantic atmosphere. We are proud to be known as the ecologically conscious oasis of Delray Beach.

A relaxing oasis. You can leave your worries behind and enjoy your vacation. A unique experience. The grounds are not well lit at night and it's hard to find your way back to the main gate especially in the rain.“An absolutely beautiful hotel. We...
As I am reading through these other reviews of the Sundy House I am completely shocked! My husband and I stayed at the Sundy House 2 weeks ago and we loved it! The rooms are very elegant and romantic. The swimming pond was so much fun. We really...
This used to be Delray Beaches' hidden gem. Now it is a joke!! The place is dirty. The gardens that used to be immaculate are now overgrown and messy looking. The staff are rude and don't seem to care.
My fiance and I are in the midst of trying plan a wedding here and are experiencing exactly what I've been reading. This hotel could care less if you stay there or not. I'm not sure if it is inept staff or a case of the hotel resting on how...
Was given a gift certificate and we didn't use right away as we had been to the hotel before for dining and weddings and thought the food and service deplorable and very overpriced!! Found it and asked if it would still be honoured and was told no...

Sunday House is definitely a place to go for a romantic holiday or to propose. The rooms are perfectly clean, nicely decorated and full of light. The grounds themselves are like being in a secret hideaway that only you and a few other people know about, which is a fabulous thing in my book. There are so many little nooks that you can go with your significant other in and just cuddle away the hours or stroll to. It seems that they really play up the great weather, since everything is either outside or basking in the light (and breeze) from outside. Once again, this is a great thing and makes you truly appreciate the surroundings, which include waterfalls, a gazebo and almost jungle like (in a good way) foliage.
Elegant, tropical, paradise!

My husband and I were married at Sundy House in August 2004, and we booked the entire inn for our friends and family. The staff were gracious and efficient; the rooms were spectacular, each professionally decorated with its own unique theme;...
