We checked into this motel at 4 am , to find out that the railings on the balcony are spaced approximately 8 inches wide. Enough room for our 1 year old to easily fit thru. We checked out the next morning, the charged us for a 2 day stay. We brought the railings to their attention and their position is that, if it passes inspection they are doing nothing about it. They took a very snide attitude about it, and its our opinion that they don't care if a child falls thru or not. So, if you have small children, stay far away from this place.

Every thing about Sugar Sands is just what we were looking for. The service desk was very curtious and helpful. The cleaning service personel made our room clean,fresh, and plesant everyday.
